A(R)MEN (“THE ARM”) is an absurd short film with a humurous and existentialist background. It takes place in an odd universe where a terrible misfortune unleashes highly unlikely consequences.
ARNE, a factory repair technician, gets his life turned around when he loses an arm in a disastrous labour accident. His new life, quite literally, becomes very hard to handle, as he plumets into an existence of emptiness and loss. Miraculously, his fate takes a new turn, when a new arm begins to grow. The emptiness is now replaced with joy and hope, as his new arm is interpreted as sign of divine intervention. However, also miracles come with a price. The Arm, it seems, has its own desires and ARNE ‘s peacefull routines will be changed dramatically until he is forced to take a crutial and final decision.
